Rob Weeks

Board Chairman

Rob hails from Floyd County, and other than three brief years working in North Carolina, he calls Roanoke home. He has a degree in mechanical engineering but found his calling in the business world. Owning his insurance business for the past ten years, Benchmark Benefits, and working previously for Coca-Cola have led him to partner with CCA as the first male board member (so we know he’s brave) serving as treasurer and more recently moving into the role as the Board Chair. Rob, who has been married to Simonne for the last twenty years, values a Christian education for his three children and is excited to see this new endeavor come to fruition. Rob loves his church and has served on the church council for the last few years but is rotating off to make more time for their family to prepare for fostering children. He loves the outdoors and taking trips with his family!

Jeremie Shelor

Treasurer

Jeremie calls the Roanoke-Salem area home.   He has lived, served, and worked in this area his entire life.   Jeremie has a servant’s heart and a strong work ethic.  He currently serves as a lay elder for Citylight Church and has helped to oversee a recent church merger and a building renovation.  He has many years of managerial experience and hopes to serve the students and families of CCA with both his logistical mind and his attention to detail.  He has been married to his wife, Tabitha for 20 years and together they have 3 handsome boys.  Jeremie and Tabby have experienced sending their kids to public schools, homeschooling apart from a co-op, homeschooling within a co-op, and are now thrilled to be part of CCA’s hybrid model.  Together, they see the value of an education that is both classical and taught from a Christian worldview.  The family can be found hiking and camping, searching for new and delicious food, or spending time with friends and family.

Judith Walker

Judy Walker was born in New Hampshire, raised in Colorado, and has lived in Roanoke for the past 25 years. Judy received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Colorado and completed most of her work on a Master of Divinity at Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado. Judy has been married to Harry Walker for 38 years. Harry and Judy have two grown married children and are eagerly expecting their first grandchild this spring. Judy was employed at a classical Christian school where she served as an administrative assistant to the heads of school for 12 years prior to teaching science for 6 years. Her desire is that all students will look with awe and wonder at the stunning beauty and intricacy of God’s creation at all levels. She believes the structure of a classical classroom best achieves this goal.
