Rhetoric School
The Rhetoric School is comprised of 9th through 12th grade and meets three times a week. Instruction is provided for the following subjects:
Humanities: History, Literature, Composition, DE Western Civilization 101 and 102
Foreign Language: Spanish or Latin
Math: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics
Science: Biology, Conceptual Physics, Chemistry, Anatomy/Physiology, Physics, DE Biology 101 and 102
Bible: Bible 9th, Bible 10th, Old Testament and New Testament Survey
Critical Thinking: Rhetoric I, Rhetoric II, Apologetics/Ethics, Introduction to Logic, and Introduction to Philosophy
Thursday includes additional math instruction, writing, science labs, and fine arts/electives.
Our Rhetoric School operates on four cycles of humanities:
Cycle A: United States History and Literature of the New World (24-25 school year)
Cycle B: History of the Medieval World and Literature of the Medieval World
Cycle C: History of the Renaissance and Literature of the Early Modern World
Cycle D: History of the Ancient World and Literature of the Ancient World
CCA also offers dual enrollment classes in partnership with Virginia Western Community College and Colorado Christian University.
School Grades: Students in Rhetoric School operate on a ten point grading scale. Official grades and transcripts are available upon request for students in grades 9th through 12th.
