Grammar School
The Grammar School serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade and meets on campus twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays. During these foundational years, students develop essential academic skills, build good habits, and grow in their understanding of the world around them. Instruction is designed to engage students through a variety of learning experiences while providing a strong foundation for future study.
Grammar School students receive instruction in the following subjects:
Nature Studies and Science Exploration
Reading and Phonics
Spelling (Grades K-3)
Bible
History
Mathematics
Literature, Writing, and Grammar
Handwriting and Penmanship
Reading Instruction
Students in kindergarten through third grade receive reading and phonics instruction using the All About Reading program. Our reading specialist helps design and tailor instruction to address students’ individual needs and support their development as confident readers.
Nature Studies and Memory Work
Nature study is woven throughout the Grammar School curriculum, giving students opportunities to observe, explore, and develop an appreciation for God’s creation. Age appropriate memory work is also incorporated across grade levels, helping students build a foundation of knowledge through the memorization of meaningful facts, passages, scripture, and famous speeches.
Thursday Enrichment Option
Grammar School families may choose an additional campus day on Thursdays for an additional fee. This enrichment day provides opportunities for students to explore subjects and activities beyond their regular coursework. Offerings may include nature studies, art instruction, cultural studies, handicrafts, foreign language, math enrichment, and other activities. Classes vary from year to year based on student enrollment, teacher availability, and program offerings.

Beginning in sixth grade, students receive traditional numerical grades.
Preparing for Logic School
Throughout the Grammar years, students develop the academic foundations, learning habits, and thinking skills that prepare them for the next stage of their education. As they progress, students are encouraged to take greater responsibility for their work, communicate their ideas clearly, ask thoughtful questions, and make connections across subjects. These skills provide a foundation for the increased independence, discussion, and reasoning emphasized int eh Logic School.
