Logic School
The Logic School serves students in sixth through eighth grade and meets on campus three days a week. Building upon the strong foundations established in the Grammar School, students begin to take greater ownership of their learning, develop more independent study habits, and move toward a deeper understanding of the subjects they study.
During these years, students are encouraged to move beyond gathering and remembering information to examining ideas, recognizing relationships, asking thoughtful questions, and developing sound reasoning. Classroom instruction places an emphasis on discussion and the thoughtful exchange of ideas. Students learn to communicate their thinking clearly, support their conclusions with evidence, listen carefully to others, and engage respectfully with differing perspectives.

Humanities: History, Literature, Writing, and Grammar
Latin
Mathematics
Science
Bible
The study of Latin strengthens students’ understanding of language and grammar while building vocabulary and providing a foundation for the study of other languages. Through the study of Latin, students also gain a deeper appreciation for the influence of classical language and literature on our own language and culture.
Thursday instruction provides additional opportunities to depend and extend classroom learning through additional mathematics instruction, science labs, and fine arts and elective courses.Offerings may vary based on student enrollment and teacher availability.
Assessment and Reporting
Students in Logic School receive grades using a ten point grading scale. Teachers assess student progress through class participation, assignments, quizzes, projects, and tests. Official grades are maintained by CCA. Transcripts are available for Logic School courses receiving Rhetoric School credit.
