Meet Brandi Brown…

Grammar School Reading Specialist

Brandi Brown grew up in Bedford, Virginia and stayed close to home after graduating from high school. She went on to attend and obtain degrees from Virginia Western Community College, Radford University, and Liberty University. In addition to being a general education teacher, Brandi is a licensed reading specialist. She has taught for 17 years in a variety of settings within various educational environments, from preschool to 8th grade in both rural and inner city public schools, special education settings, homeschool, and private Christian school.

Brandi is married to her best friend, Greg. Favorite past times of Mrs. Brown include reading, relaxing, grocery shopping alone, and finding great deals on books, clothes, and other odds and ends. Together, Brandi and Greg have 3 super cool kids that all have awesome curly hair, fun personalities, and many interests and talents. Alivia, Miles and Cyrus are excited about continuing to learn, making new friends, and fostering current friendships at CCA. As a family, the Browns enjoys eating delicious food, Marvel movies and shows, video games, and family trips. The Brown family worships at Bedrock Community Church in Bedford.

Long before earning her master's degree in education or teaching real students, being an educator was etched into the heart of Mrs. Brown. Some of her earliest childhood memories involve teaching the alphabet to her stuffed animals and perfecting her classroom management skills while playing school with her sister.

Brandi's wide array of teaching experiences have shaped her into a dynamic educator who understands the importance of balancing academics, spiritual growth, and the emotional, social, and physical needs for each student. Brandi believes fostering a classroom environment filled with communication, trust, and mutual respect among students and teachers is vital for student success. She is excited to share her enthusiasm for learning with the students at CCA.
