Meet Casey Duncan…

Grammar School: Kindergarten Assistant

Casey Duncan, originally from Eastern North Carolina, grew up as a homeschool student, enjoying time outdoors, playing on her family’s hobby farm and spending time on the river with her father, mother, and two younger brothers. She went on to attend Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in Knoxville, Tennessee, majoring in Biblical Studies and Teacher Education. She met her husband, David, at Johnson and married in 2010. After graduating, they moved to Salem, Virginia where her husband works as a Student Minister and she worked as an EL (English Learner) Teacher for Roanoke City Public Schools for 5 years. After having her daughter, Arley, Casey decided to take a break from teaching to be at home with her children full-time. She has been a stay-at-home mom for almost 9 years and homeschooling in conjunction with CCA for 3 years now. Casey loves gardening, going on dates, crafting, painting, interior design, exploring, playing outside and hanging out with her husband and children; Arley, Duke and Lucy.
