Meet Debbie Shelor…

School Office Assistant

Debbie joined the CCA staff in the fall of 2022.   She had recently retired from a local public school system, where she had worked as an administrative specialist in the Human Resources and Special Education departments, but felt the desire to keep on working in a somewhat different capacity.  She has always lived in the Roanoke/Salem area and loves the feel of a small town community. She has been married for 44 years to her high school sweetheart, Ray, and has 2 grown sons and daughter-in laws, and 4 grandsons.  Jeremie, her oldest son is on the CCA Board, and Tabitha is a teacher here as well.  One grandson recently graduated from CCA and two others are continuing to receive an excellent education here.  Her other son and family live in South Carolina, where Debbie and her husband love to go and visit.

During her time at CCA, you’ll find that Debbie is always willing to help out in any way, whether it be in the front office, helping a teacher out in the classroom, or tending to one of our students needs’.  She feels that CCA is an amazing environment to raise up and educate children, as well as teach humility and respect, while giving all honor to God.  In her spare time Debbie loves spending time with family and friends, landscaping and flowers, and decorating.
