Meet Elizabeth Smith…
Grammar School - Kindergarten Teacher
Elizabeth was born abroad in Oxford England where her parents were stationed. She had the opportunity to live in Turkey and Japan in her childhood while being raised in Northern Va. She attended Marymount University earning a degree in Psychology with a minor in Early Education and her teaching license in Pre-k -3rd grade. She worked for Fairfax County schools as a Kindergarten aid, Kindergarten teacher and Kindergarten lead teacher. She met her husband, Benjamin in 2005 and moved to Roanoke in 2008 when they got married. Benjamin and Elizabeth welcomed Alexander in 2009 and Sophia in 2014. She enjoyed being able to nurture their children at home. Elizabeth returned to teaching at Noah’s Landing Preschool teaching the 4 year old class from 2016-2025. Elizabeth was excited when a Kindergarten position opened up this year. She was excited to return to teach Kindergarten and to be at the same school as her children.
