Meet Jamie Hatfield…

Rhetoric Government/Economics, Personal Finance, Public Speaking, and Print Media Teacher

Jamie Hatfield, a native of the Pacific Northwest, has called Roanoke her home since the mid 1990s after she met her husband Tim at Milligan University in Tennessee. Jamie earned a Humanities/Political Science degree from Milligan and made the most of her college years, including a semester in Washington, DC and internship with the US Senate. After 8 years working as a paralegal for 3 local law firms, Jamie began working from home as a church administrator and homeschooling her two older children, now high school graduates. Interestingly, her youngest began kindergarten the year after her middle child graduated high school. It is a unique experience homeschooling all over again - a gift she does not take for granted. Jamie develops content on social media, website, and other communications for Living Water Christian Church (where her husband Tim serves as a bivocational lead pastor) and also teaches history and government classes from her home. She also serves on the board of directors for Friendship House, where she is an active volunteer, and as board secretary for Waypoint Church Partners. She loves cooking, trips, reading, watching movies, playing board games with her kids and son-in-law, and listening to podcasts. Through CCA, Jamie brings enthusiasm to her work as parent educator serving and partnering with Roanoke homeschooling families.
