Meet Keith Beasley…
Rhetoric and Bible Teacher
Keith Beasley has served as the pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Preschool since October, 2000, and has been the campus pastor of Lutheran Outreach at Virginia Tech (LOVT) since 2007. He and his wife, Tracy, have been married for over 30 years and have four children (Brittany, Devin, Caleb, and Joel), a son-in-law (Jeremiah, Brittany’s husband) , and a grandson (Nathaniel). Keith and Tracy have home schooled their children for 12 years, and have been very involved in the home school community in the Roanoke area.
Keith graduated as part of the first class of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) in Durham, NC. He studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) where he was a Johnston Scholar and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW). After taking graduate courses in Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), he earned a Master of Divinity at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
Keith’s past work experience includes holding positions in student services and housing at UNCW and NCSSM; teaching middle school Science and high school Biology for Lexington (NC) City Schools; and serving as the Assistant Pastor and Religion instructor for St. John Lutheran Church and School in Ocala, Florida.
Keith and his family have been involved with the Southwest Virginia Home School Conquerors for over a decade. He serves as a coach, the Director of Athletics, and a member of the Board for the Conquerors.
