Meet Lauren Walters…

Logic and Rhetoric Art and Print Media Teacher, Grammar School Reading Assistant

Lauren Walters was born in Lexington, KY and raised in Roanoke, VA. Homeschooled from 4th through 12th grade, she later earned a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Roanoke College. Just a week after graduation, she married her best friend and husband Jared, and together they have four amazing children.

Lauren has loved teaching from a young age. In high school, she helped lead art classes at her homeschool co-op and taught Pre-K at her church through college. She later served in her church as the Children’s Director until stepping down to prepare for baby number four.

Lauren’s also spent several years working in Roanoke County Public Schools. In 2024, their family began homeschooling and were so blessed to find CCA.

Lauren and Jared are active members of Southwest Community Church, where they are heavily involved in many ministries of the church. 

She is so thankful for CCA and excited to be more involved!
