Meet Slynn McMinn…
Cybersecurity and Computer Information Systems Teacher
Slynn McMinn is married to Ed and has three children, David, Savanna, and Dillon. She grew up in Georgia and moved to Virginia mid-2019. She and Ed currently live at Claytor Lake, and they attend Blue Ridge Church in Christiansburg. This is Slynn's sixteenth year teaching, which includes Special Education, Deaf Education, American Sign Language, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, and Design, Multimedia, and Web Technologies. She was the ASL Interpreter of the Year for Middle Georgia in 2008. She has degrees from Valdosta State University and Central Georgia Technical College, and is currently attending both Radford University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She enjoys teaching, anything on the lake, reading cookbooks (in vain!), and especially decorating. Since 2005, Slynn has owned a Christian publishing company that publishes daily devotions for collegiate sports fans. Although a VT supporter, make no mistake that she bleeds Georgia Bulldog red and black! She is super excited to be teaching Cybersecurity and CIS at CCA.
