Meet Stacy Lam…

Logic Literature and Language Arts Teacher

Stacy and her husband, Derek, both grew up in Roanoke, graduating together as Highlanders from Glenvar High School. She went on to be a Highlander again, graduating Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a RN for fifteen years with different stints in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Nursery and Pediatrics floor. She came home full-time to homeschool her six children--three sons and three daughters. Stacy was a Classical Conversations (CC) director for five years, a CC Challenge A tutor for a year, and most recently a first grade teacher for a local homeschool co-op. Her days are full managing the home and serving in Citylight Church where Derek is lead pastor. In her spare time, she loves reading mysteries and historical fiction and taking walks on the greenway. She and Derek have had three children graduate from CCA (and one more will this school year). Their son and daughter-in-law now teach here as well.
