Meet Tabitha Shelor…
Logic and Rhetoric History/Theology Teacher
Tabitha has been a Roanoke resident since middle school and loves the beautiful geography and outdoor life offered in Roanoke. Staying in the area, she graduated from Roanoke College with a degree in History and Education. She taught for three years in public schools before making the choice to stay at home with her children. Over the years she has still been actively involved in education. Homebound teaching, long-term substituting, working in a girl’s group home, tutoring, teaching bible studies, instructing at various co-ops and tutoring for Classical Conversations are a few of the ways she’s kept teaching others while homeschooling her three sons. Tabitha, also known as Tabby, participates in worship leadership, youth team, and in the Roanoke Valley women’s ministry “The Well.” She loves Jesus, reading, apologetics, coffee, chatting, and her husband of 18 years, Jeremie. Tabby is most excited about fostering an educational environment that values reasoning and logic working out from a Christocentric worldview. She believes that CCA is just the place to see that happen as a next step for her sons as students and herself as a teacher.
