Meet Tracy Gatzke…

Rhetoric Philosophy Teacher

Tracy grew up in northern Virginia as the oldest of seven children. She attended the University of Mary Washington, where she received her BA in Philosophy and English and met her husband, Keith. They got married the summer after graduation and worked in campus ministry in Pittsburgh until babies started to arrive, when they moved back to Virginia to be closer to family. Roanoke has been home since 2018. This is Tracy’s seventh year as the homeschooling parent to their four children. She is working towards her MA in Philosophy and is a co-teacher for a Montessori-style preschool class at her church. Tracy loves the mountains, black coffee, good literature, and good conversation.
